The story of EES began in 1976 in Baden-Württemberg—a land of innovators—in the tranquil town of Backnang near Stuttgart. Rainer Hahn founded Elektra-Elektronik GmbH & Co. Störcontroller KG with a clear mission: to make signals visible, understandable, and controllable. Today, EES is an international provider of comprehensive solutions—ranging from simple status displays to networked telecontrol and fault-signaling technology. We love signals—from day one.
EES products are used wherever conditions need to be reliably monitored, malfunctions need to be reliably reported, and data needs to be transmitted over long distances: energy supply, water and wastewater management, transportation, industry, and building systems. They can be found deep in the ocean, in the desert, in wind farms—anywhere signals make a difference.
What started with just a few employees has grown to about 50 today. EES connects people across generations—from the start of their training to retirement. Experience meets fresh ideas, and it’s precisely this combination that makes us strong. Group outings, celebrations, and small everyday moments foster a sense of togetherness. We love signals—and we love the people behind them.
What began in the heart of Swabia is now in demand worldwide. Our products are exported all over the globe. Through our regular participation in international trade shows, we stay close to our customers, trends, and markets. Direct interaction on-site strengthens partnerships and opens up new opportunities.
